On November 2, on the eve of the first China International Import Expo opening, Tmall Global joined the Indonesian ambassador's wife at Shanghai landmark Oriental Pearl to witness the Indonesia National Pavilion going live; that day offline pavilions of six countries including Indonesia, Denmark, Italy, and the UK opened together during CIIE.
At the Oriental Pearl entrance, Tmall's “Global Tribute” national exhibition halls are now open to the public. Each hall displays Tmall Global's most distinctive goods. Indonesia's national treasure kopi luwak joined this year's Tmall Double 11 under President Jokowi's personal push. The Indonesian government offered five products for this year's Tmall Double 11.
Specialty goods displayed in the six-country halls including Indonesia, Denmark, Italy, and the UK will also appear at CIIE; Tmall Global exhibits cover beauty, fashion sports, maternity/personal care, digital products and more.
A spokesperson revealed that from November 2–6, besides important Indonesian guests, Denmark's badminton champions and ambassadors/consuls of various countries will also arrive at the Oriental Pearl National Pavilion as “sales influencers,” letting Shanghai citizens experience shopping the world without leaving home.
