This pop-up bookstore is jointly presented by Shanghai Columbia Circle Tsutaya Books (“Tsutaya Books”) and China Xintiandi innovative food culture brand FOODIE SOCIAL South Block Food Collective (“FOODIE SOCIAL”). Starting from how to eat every meal well, the “Eat Well” pop-up bookstore selects over 2,000 Chinese and foreign books and magazines from Tsutaya—from ingredients, recipes, and drinks to Japanese traditional culture and aesthetics of all kinds. Contents include global new info on hot food and lifestyles, and introductions to classic dishes and traditional crafts, inviting readers to appreciate food in books, enrich perception, and feel life's beauty. Ingredients for this bookstore were selected by FOODIE SOCIAL with nature-prototype food logic, advocating a return-to-nature diet idea. The pop-up also displays works by artist Chen Xin, who lives and works in Shanghai and explores, through easel painting and installation, transformations in memory, body and more brought by data life after entering the digital era.
